Inspired by the timeless beauty of classical portraiture, The Old Master’s Portrait Commission offers an elevated, painterly study of childhood at its most poised and expressive.
These portraits honour that brief moment between childhood and young adulthood, capturing grace, confidence and individuality in a way that feels both modern and enduringly timeless. These are not just portraits of childhood; they are heirlooms designed to be treasured for the next generation.

The shoot
This is where the magic happens. With everything planned in advance, all you need to do is arrive - my team and I will take care of everything. Your child will start with hair styling before changing into one of the pieces from my studio wardrobe, and we’ll spend around two hours capturing their portraits. If you’d prefer, you can rent an outfit from a costume house and bring that to the session.
viewing & ordering session (VIA zoom)
You'll see your images for the first time roughly 2 weeks after your session via Zoom, and from here I'll help you'll choose your favourites. My production team will then begin the editing, retouching and design process, and start to create your beautiful artwork.
Once I've received your contact form, I'll be in touch promptly to arrange a short 20 minute call where you can ask me any questions, and I'll find out more about what kinds of portraits you're looking for.
With The Old Master's Portrait Commission, I always start with the end in mind - the artwork we’re creating together; every portrait commission is designed to become a finished, framed piece of art for your home. On our call, I’ll walk you through exactly how it all works and answer any questions you might have. Once you’re happy to proceed, I'll book your shoot into the schedule, and set up a time for the next step - your Creative Consultation - where we’ll plan every detail of your portrait together.
